Meet the Team
Ebony van Neijhof - Owner & Teacher:
Ebony van Neijhof is an Australian & French ex-professional dancer, she started her dance education in ballet, jazz, acrobatics, gymnastics & contemporary at the age of 11 years old. Growing up on the Gold Coast in Australia, she competed in many dance competitions and later entered into the Queensland Ballet Academy. At 16 years old, she spread her wings and moved to France where she then studied in the Pôle National Supérieur de Danse Rosella Hightower in Cannes. After 3 years of study and receiving her Bachelor in Dance, she started her first professional career in The Hague, the Netherlands with the company De Dutch Don’t Dance Division. After almost 2 years working with this gorgeous company, she was offered a short term position back in the south of France with the Grand Opera Ballet Avignon, where she toured with the company for 6 months helping replace injured dancers for their touring season.
Fast forward to November 2023, Ebony came back to Rotterdam looking for something new, she came to realise that in Rotterdam there was a huge lack for Adult dance classes that were affordable, good quality & fun for all levels (especially beginners). This is where she started E.C Dance Studio. A place for beginners to actually learn dance classes without the judgement or the huge bank bill. Now after almost 2 years of starting this dance studio, she welcomes all levels, beginner and intermediate in all the unique dance styles offered at E.C.
Areti - Heels Teacher:
Areti is a dancer from Greece, now based in Rotterdam. With extensive training in styles like latin, hip-hop, contemporary, jazz, and heels, she has participated in international camps, performed on stage, in battles and competitions, and taught high heels classes in Greece and the Netherlands.
Alongside her dance experience, Areti’s academic background in Clinical Psychology allows her to empower her students, helping them grow as confident dancers and express themselves fully through movement.
Erika - Latin Heels Teacher:
Originally from Colombia, Erika started dancing at just five years old, growing up with a strong foundation in classical training that shaped her technique and artistry.
After moving to the Netherlands five years ago, she expanded into commercial, heels, and hip hop, where she truly found her spark.
Blending foundation with passion, she brings a bold Latin flavour to her heels classes, adding the ‘sazón’ that she felt deserves more space in dance studios. Her mission is to create a safe, empowering environment where everyone can feel confident, fierce, and free while embracing their inner Latin fire.
“Amar Lammar” - Belly Dance Teacher:
Born in Mexico City, Amar Lammar (Stage Name) discovered her love for dance at the age of six and trained in Polynesian, ballet, folklore, Afro-Caribbean, and finally Oriental dance, which became her lifelong passion.
Her dance career took her across the world — from India and Lebanon to Spain, the USA, and the UAE, where she spent over a decade performing at some of Dubai and Abu Dhabi’s most prestigious hotels, including Burj Al Arab, Atlantis The Palm, and Emirates Palace.
Alongside her dance journey, she became certified in Barre Fitness, combining artistry with strength and functional movement.
